First we will provide you with an admin account containing a Username and Password. This admin account has the access rights of the Controller and Dashboard. If you did not receive this details please contact your account manager.
After receiving the account details you can login to the Dashboard. This webplatform displays all your users, devices etc. Please note that this is still in bèta development.
1) Connect your laptop/tablet with GenieNet (If you did not receive this, please contact your account manager)
2) Surf to www.geniedashboard.be (this ONLY works if you are connected to GenieNet)
3) Login with your admin account.
Here you can create new users and manage your experiences.
If you do not need to add extra User accounts over time then you do not need to use the dashboard again.
To manage XR devices in realtime you must install the Controller Software. At the moment we support Android (.apk) and Windows (.exe). Please get them from the download page on your Soulmade Client Portal.
Install Android:
- Download the .APK on your mobile device
- Find the .APK in your file storage and open it
- Allow 'Unknown Sources' in settings if needed
- Install the application
Install Windows:
- Download the .ZIP on your PC
- Move the whole folder to a specific location
- Open the .exe to run the software. (please avoid any firewill/security issues that might block the connection)
Take your Genie Hardware out of its box and connect it with a power source. Please only use the given cable.
The hardware needs around 3 minutes to booth.
Take your VR Headsets and power them on. They will automatically open the Genie app (only Pico, not on Oculus) and connect with GenieNet. If you are using the headsets also for other purposes than only Genie apps then please manually check if the headsets are connected with GenieNet. (This might take a few minutes)
Now you are ready to get started! Login on the controller with your admin account and Gaze to start in the VR Viewer application. You should see Users appearing on the Controller application. After you've activated them they should be ready to start experiencing your XR content.
